Required Skills:
- Experience in a trade, such as HVAC, welding or machining, preferred
- Mechanically inclined with experience operating and maintaining stationary or mobile equipment
- Proven ability to lead a team through complex tasks ensuring safety is the top priority
- Communicates appropriately with external and internal departments
- Ability to manage multiple projects, responsibilities and timelines
- Able to use, interpret and adjust ventilation and equipment settings to properly manage storage facility

Job Description:
The successful candidate is able to work independently, can change priorities as needed and enjoys problem-solving. The Storage Supervisor is responsible for leading the team in filling and emptying the potato storages, and assisting the storage manager with record keeping, monitoring raw quality, and supervising warehouse employees.

Compensation: $65,000-$70,000 per annum, company vehicle, annual incentive bonus

Responsibilities

- Leads the site safety program and related initiatives
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of storage buildings following standard operating procedures and best practices
- Trains and supervises up to 50 seasonal employees
- Operates equipment such as tractors, loader, skid steer, forklift and potato handling equipment
- Plans and assists in maintenance and repairs on equipment, and manages the related parts inventory
- During harvest, assists in the coordination of potato supply and delivery schedules with growers and ensures that only quality - potatoes are put into storage
- Assists in daily monitoring potatoes in storage and taking immediate action as needed
- Collects, records and reports data required for audits and certifications
- Participates in managing special projects, budget preparation and continuous improvement initiatives
Wages:
$65,000-$70,000 per annum, company vehicle, annual incentive bonus
