Nestled along the picturesque Fortune River, The Inn at Bay Fortune is home to a bountiful culinary farm producing a wide variety of flowers and vegetables using methods that help preserve and enhance our rich, fertile soil. The spoils from our farm are prepared and plated by our extraordinary band of chefs, who serve 68 guests nightly during our five-star culinary experience called the FireWorks Feast, which runs from May to November every year. Our Farm Hands play the vital role of tending to those fruits and vegetables (and a few chickens and pigs, too) throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Prepare to be immersed in an unforgettable, hands-on, agricultural learning experience.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head Farmer, you will:
-Prepare fields and garden beds for planting by tilling soil, planting seeds and seedlings.
-Weed, transplant, thin, and prune crops.
-Cultivate and harvest crops.
-Feed and inspect chickens and pigs; collect chicken eggs; clean animal living areas.
-Clean racks, trays, and harvest bins.
-Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Wages:
$16.50-$20.00 per hour
Benefits:
-NOC Code: 85101 -Job Location: Fortune, Prince Edward Island -Work Conditions: Small-scale farm with a combination of greenhouses and outdoor crops. -Work Term: Part-time seasonal (May-October 2025) -Schedule: Day shifts, 16-24 hours per week, with paid breaks. -Starting Salary: $16.50-$20.00 per hour, based on experience. -Other Benefits: 4% vacation pay. Complimentary staff meals every afternoon during your working hours.
