Job Description:
GENERAL LABOURER- GREENHOUSE
Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world.
To ensure the ability to produce quality potato products in a changing environment, Cavendish Farms has invested in a Research Facility in New Annan, PE. (25533 Route 2, New Annan, PE)
We are hiring 8 workers to join the team for transplanting. The work will last 2-3 weeks, with the option to return for spring and summer work as well. The work starts on February 13th, 2023.
Duties and work environment:
The work is indoors in a header house and the greenhouse
Employees will rotate through different positions including transplanting, filling pots and trays, and moving pots and trays to the greenhouse
Farming or horticultural experience is an asset
Ability to lift up to 30lbs (13.6kgs)
Other duties as required
Compensation and benefits:
Wage is $17.23 per hour with possible bonus
Unique experience being part of a scientific potato breeding program
