Inspection Assistant - Soil Sampling

Required Skills:
•Able to use in the prescribed circumstances and manner all prescribed safety materials, equipment, devices and clothing;
•Willing and able to carry and wear 20 kg of protective equipment while performing duties;
•Willing and able to work in environmentally challenging or physically demanding conditions including heat, or cold, wind, uneven surfaces and long periods of time outdoors;
•Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time;
•Willing and available to work irregular hours (e.g., days, nights, weekends, statutory holidays);
•Willing and available to work overtime, as required;
•Willing to work in various locations, including third-party premises.

Job Description:
This position under the direction of an Inspector will assist in the collection of soil samples; collect and record information about inspection results, as well as other survey related activities.
•Assisting in the collection of soil samples from potato fields across the Island;
•Collecting and recording information about inspection results;
•Conducting survey related activities;
•Travelling and walking to various sites;
•Following all prescribed safety materials, equipment, devices and clothing for the prescribed circumstances and in the manner directed.
