Job Description:
McCain Fertilizer has three fertilizer blending facilities strategically placed across PEI. These blending facilities custom blend and deliver fertilizer during the planting season to meet the grower’s needs. McCain Fertilizer also supplies crop protectants, seeds and custom services to the agricultural sector.
McCain Fertilizer has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator at its Middleton, PEI blending facility. This position is seasonal with opportunity for extended work.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience operating a forklift
A forklift certification would be an asset but if candidate has experience, a forklift certification will be provided.
Willing to work evenings and weekends during busy planting season
Ability to work well with supervision and other employees
Team player with excellent attendance
Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first’’ on a continual basis, following all safety requirements
