Job Description:
Lyndale Farms Inc is a family run potato farm in the Montague area that specializes in the production of specialty potatoes for the seed and table markets.
We currently have an opening for a full-time position for potato farm equipment operator, truck driver and mechanic (will require some manual labor at times as well). This position is available immediately part time and ful time no later than April 15th, 2020.
What we ask for:
High school diploma or higher.
Ability to fluently speak, read and write in English.
Team player with an ability to work well with others.
Independent worker who works well unsupervised at times.
In possession of a valid class 3A license.
Some experience in operating modern potato farm equipment.(tractor, forklift, tillage equipment, windrower)
Willing to work evenings and weekends (May to October).
Willing to work with the farming seasons, some periods will have more work than others.
Some mechanical experience such as welding, basic equipment repairs, basic preventive equipment maintenance.
Willingness to learn and adhere about the food safety practices common on potato farms.
Live in or willing to relocate to Charlottetown/Montague area.
