Job Description:
As a Lead Hand, you will have a very thorough understanding of the overall potato granule plant. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the granule dry process. This position operates on a scheduled 12-hour day/night shift, with overtime a possibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
– Monitors all area process parameters in the production line
– Troubleshoots and corrects problems to ensure optimum operating conditions
– Interprets analytical and operating reports
– Working with the control room to review line performance, line parameters and lab results on line study
– Oversee additive batches and flow rates
– Report and communication with the Shift Manager on line performance, employee performance, safety issues and any other issues pertinent to the production line
– Operate and oversee operation of the forklift and Hoist
– Recording and removal of disintegrated and fractionated production waste
– See to the line workers needs i.e.: safety wear
– Performs routine maintenance and repair according to plant practice, assists plant maintenance when necessary
– Informs other employees of unsafe working and operating practices, and reports any action he/she sites to supervisor if not corrected immediately
– Performs any duty assigned, including plant clean-up, housekeeping or operation of any area required
– Ensures all daily operating reports are properly kept
– Follows all housekeeping policies according to good manufacturing practices
– Responsibilities for this position will change according to company operating policy
Wages:
$16.00 per hour for Varies hours bi-weekly
