Job Description:
100 cows milked in a modern tie stall facility located 10 min east of Charlottetown in Bedford, PEI. Family run operation that prides itself in making quality milk from a top producing herd with strong genetics.
The Main tasks involved:
• set up, operate and maintain the milking equipment
• milk cows and clean up equipment afterwards
• rear heifers and calves, ensuring optimum health and growth rate.
• assist in diagnosing sick animals and treat with medication when required and record all treatments.
• assist with heat detection and calving
• feeding and bedding animals with tractor
• driving tractors to assist with planting and harvesting when needed
• day to day chores as required
Wages:
$14-15+/hr range depending on experience

Wages: will vary based on experience with the
option of pay hourly or salary
Hours: 40-50 hrs /week
Pay period: every two weeks
Vacation: 2 weeks

• a typical week consists of one morning and one evening milking off during the week.
• schedule includes milking every second weekend, with weekends off typically beginning at noon every second Friday.
