Required Skills:
4+ years Management Experience is required.
Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience with plant extractions (SPE, SFC, other organic solvents), distillation, purification, separation techniques is considered a strong asset.
Excellent communication skills with a well-developed professional manner and a focus on positive, productive business relationships.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
GMP experience preferred
Microsoft Excel and ERP software skills considered an asset.
A criminal records check will be required to be completed by the applicant, and a successful candidate will be required to submit a security clearance application

Job Description:
Working closely with the Processing Manager, the Extraction Manager will be responsible for all aspects of cannabis extraction production and leading and ensuring the success of the Extraction team. The successful candidate will be working closely with senior management to ensure that the team meets pre-determined goals and quotas.

Regular Duties

Producing cannabis derivatives in compliance with federal regulations.
Work in correlation with Quality Assurance in the development of new extraction processes and in assuring the facility remains compliant with frequently changing industry regulations and internal procedures.
Work closely with Processing Manager on production and demand planning and perform weekly/monthly production planning for department.
Management of Product and Process development projects from initiation to completion.
Support Research and Development projects within the department.
Manage a team of 10+ staff, including scheduling, managing day-to-day activities, safety protocols, performance management, and team performance.
Monitors progress to departmental goals with company strategy.
Encourages team to be involved in decisions, encourages talent development.
Wages:
To be determined per year for 40 hours per week
