Required Skills:
University degree or college diploma in Culinary or Food Science
Minimum of 2-5 year's experience developing food products in an R&D environment
Proven track record in the development of new and unique products
Ability to be a hands-on product developer
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent attention to details
Highly developed organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of the team
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project will be necessary for this position
Knowledge in the field of appetizers, coated seafood or potato products would be advantageous

We need a Manager, Scientific Research Programs to oversee our state-of-the-art R&D program and develop brand new products and processes to take Cavendish into the future.
Developing our research programs and seeing creative projects through to completion, the successful candidate will be highly organized with impeccable communication skills to help them lead their team. Track progress of each product against the required timeline using Microsoft Project
Develop project charters for research activities through collaboration with marketing, Technical Sales, and sales personnel
Track the dollar spend and time commitment on each project for SR & ED purposes
Prepare submissions for government funding of R&D initiatives
Perform research into the development of new products and processes
Work with the staff on the bench and Pilot line to develop new products to meet company expectations
Process invoices and ensure timely receipt and processing of purchase orders
Maintain R&D databases
