Job Description:
Farm Description:
- Mixed family farming operation in Alliston PEI, about 15 minutes south of the Town of Montague, and 10 minutes from the Wood Islands Ferry to Caribou, Nova Scotia.
- Commercial broiler farm
- 3 x 30,000 bird units
- Proud members of Chicken Farmers of Canada (CFC), and Chicken Farmers of PEI.
Our operation adheres to strict animal care, biosecurity, and food safety program requirements, as administered and monitored by CFC.
- Currently seeking Farm Labourer to assist with all aspects of broiler management.
- Successful candidate will also be responsible for seasonal grounds maintenance (lawn mowing, line trimming, tree planting and care), small-scale horticultural crop management, and some aspects of wild blueberry land management.
- On-farm accommodations are available to the successful candidate.
Job Requirements:
- All aspects of broiler production
- Maintaining production records
- Complete on-farm training programs: Animal Care, Safety
- Performing general farm duties as required
- English is a requirement: Verbal, Written
