Job Description:
Port Hill Farm Inc. in Tyne Valley, PEI is looking for a Dairy Herdsperson on a full-time, permanent basis (35-40 hour/week) with a salary of $18.00 to $19.00/hr. (depending on exp).
Work location: 160 Green Park Road, Tyne Valley RR #1, PEI C0B 2C0
Duties include:
• responsible for 50 milking cows and the replacements
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers
• Perform general farm duties along with the staff
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Develop work schedules and establish procedures
• Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
• Maintain work records and logs
• Monitoring animal health as per the management's instructions
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
