Job Description:
Vanco Farms Ltd. specializes in growing specialty potatoes, organic potatoes, premium cut tulips, and tulip bulbs. The farm is family owned and operated, and we proudly grow our products in the signature red soil of Prince Edward Island.
The Seasonal Truck Driver position is a seasonal full time position during our fall potato harvest season that involves transporting produce from various fields across PEI to the Vanco storage and processing warehouses.
• Transport potatoes from field to warehouse
• Assist in the loading and unloading of potatoes from the truck
• Keep log records for each load
• Complete pre and post trip inspections, while addressing any defects immediately
• Comply with health and safety and food safety standards
• Other related duties as required
Work hours are dependent on weather with flexibility to work days, evenings and Saturdays would be required
