• Mechanical aptitude and previous experience working in farm operations would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work up to 6 days a week (weather permitting)
• Experience operating farm machinery including tractors, planters, harvesters and windrowers.
• Ability to work independently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Vanco Farms strives to offer a competitive wage, to be negotiated. This is a seasonal position from early September to early November, hours are dependent on weather with flexibility to work days, evenings and Saturdays would be required.

Job Description:
Position Summary
The Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator position is a seasonal full time position during our fall potato harvest season that involves operating various farm equipment in the harvesting of our potatoes from various fields across PEI.
Position Responsibilities
• Operate farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters and windrowers.
• Cultivate and harvest crops using equipment and machinery
• Load product into trucks in the field
• Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools.
• Comply with health and safety and food safety standards
• Other related duties as required
