Required Skills:
Qualifications include:
 A post-secondary education in a related field.
 Minimum 2 years of experience in program management.
 Project management skills including planning, budget management, decision making and problem-solving skills.
 Highly organized, task oriented, independent worker with proven team skills.
 Experienced in event planning and managing and coordinating volunteers.
 Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
 Ability to manage, coordinate and deliver on multiple projects and relationships.
 Excellent communicator with strong skills including listening, written and oral.
 Proven technology/computer skills including use of social media tools, Microsoft Office, and program/database systems.
 Experienced in working remotely.
 Willing to travel within Canada.
 Knowledge of agriculture and/or education in sectors would be an asset.
 Bilingual in ENG and FR would an asset.

Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C) is a Canadian charitable organization that harnesses and fosters the energy, intelligence, skills and passion that exists in Canadian students. Nine provincial organizations are represented through membership in AITC-C and collectively, they deliver on national agriculture education initiatives for all grade levels. Our vision is to be the leader for agriculture education in Canada by enhancing Canadian students' and educators' knowledge and appreciation of agriculture and food through curriculum linked resources and initiatives.

Program Manager – thinkAG Initiative:

This important role is a unique and exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual. If you are experienced in program management, and have a passion for agriculture education, we want to hear from you. The thinkAG Program Manager is responsible for working with the AITC-C team in supporting the vision and mission of
AITC-C by further developing and delivering upon the national thinkAG career initiative. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position will work alongside the thinkAG committees and support the AITC provincial member organizations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
 Manage the development, enhancement and delivery of the thinkAG career initiative across Canada, including national event delivery;
 Under guidance from the Operations Manager, managing budget, monitoring program expenditures, and preparing update reports as required;
 Alongside communications team, assist in development and distribution of thinkAG promotional and communication materials,
 Alongside communications team, manage the further development of thinkAG area on www.aitc-canada.ca
 Liaise with provincial members, schools, venues and contractors;
 Development of pre and post student/teacher surveys for use during events;
 Development of online evaluation tools to measure reach/impacts;
 Collect and compile all results and development of impact reports;
 Organize and spearhead committee meetings;
 Facilitation of translation efforts where required.


Wages:
Salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and ability.
