Farm and Vineyard Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs)
Start Date:
Immediately after school ends to start of school in the fall.

Required Skills:
-Successful completion of viticulture/ horticulture course training would be an asset
-Belief in the values of organic agriculture
-Ability to work fast with drive to improve efficiency and processes.
-Current drivers license
- Ability to operate farm equipment or willing to learn
-Ability to work with a positive attitude and ability to work on your own
Must have been registered as a full time student in the previous academic year with plans to return to full time studies.
Job Experience:
Experience would be an asset

Week-ends, Weekdays
Job Description:
The position requires being outside in all types of weather. It also involves maintaining our current and growing vineyards and grounds, as well:
-weeding, pruning, irrigating and aiding in organic pest control.
- harvesting grapes
-Ability to adapt to changing conditions and to always keep an eye out for children.
-Planting and trellis building
-Repair and maintenance of farm equipment and buildings
Wages:
$12-16.00 per hour @ 40-48+ hours per week
