Job Description:
The position requires setting up, operating and maintaining milking equipment, milking cows and cleaning up equipment, rearing heifers and calves, ensuring optimum health and growth rate. The Herds Person will also assist in diagnosing sick animals and treat with medication when required and record all treatments, assisting with heat detection and calving, feeding and bedding animals with tractor, driving tractors to assist with planting and harvesting when needed, day to day chores as required
