Required Skills:
Student pursuing/continuing studies in an agriculture/marketing/business related field or, a Post Secondary student with an agriculture background.
Experience using social media platforms for promotional purposes would be an asset.
Ability to present information to youth and the general public
Ability to work independently
General computer skills
Excellent understanding of the agriculture industry on PEI
Knowledge of general office procedures
Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

Job Description:
As the Agriculture Awareness Coordinator, the student will be working for the PEI Agriculture Awareness Committee assisting in various projects.
The student will assist in organizing, promoting and the preparation of Open Farm Day.
Will also promote Agriculture Awareness at various fairs and exhibitions such and Old Home Week, the Dundas Fair, etc. (some evenings and weekends).
Assist in organizing/promoting PEI Open Farm Day
In addition the student will assist in the coordination of the Agriculture Educators workshop, update information on the Agriculture Awareness and website.
Promote projects via social media, work on special projects identified by the Agriculture Awareness Committee.
Weekly reports will be submitted to the Executive Director detailing the weeks work and activities. There will be a final report outlining all activities with recommendations for next year.
Wages:
$13.00 per hour @ 35 hours weekly
